There's no exact way of knowing how many songs are released in a day. Whether it be an eighteen second kazoo ditty on Soundcloud, or a Hypem track with 4 hearts, all music deserves a shot. Even on an independent blog like Earmilk, it's impossible to cover every band/song/remix worth listening too. That's why Straight From the Teet is back, and this time…IT'S DAILY! My name is Logan (aka Running) and I will be curating Earmilk's newest old feature, highlighting two up-and-coming artists from two different genres, so sit back and enjoy some good-old-fashioned, non-pasteurized, Earmilk. Drink it fast though, because I'll be coming back tomorrow with more..
Ambient
"The perfect soundtrack for a cloudy day, a sunny one as well. The perfect soundtrack for rain soaked leaves, and the pleasant smell of damp earth. For windy days. For nights." I'd say I did a pretty good job at translating GlowStone's Facebook page. The Querétaro native behind Aquarell Tales-a cinematic, ambient, summer time LP-se llama Jorge Hernandez, and you can check out his extensive collection of music at the above link. Tune in, and let August melt by. For those of you who doubt AP Spanish pays off…here's proof.
(P.S. Each track off the record comes with different artwork, so I made a montage of my favorites.)
Indie
Let's say that for some crazy reason you get sick of listening to Beach House. I have a band that packs all the same textural, melodramatic, dream-pop goodness without the pretentious fan-base. Plus, they're British. Who could ask for more? Meet Deaf Club, the band that will soon be gracing the soundtracks of every indie romantic comedy. Like that part in (500) Days Of Summer when the architect realizes he can live without her, this is what will be playing in the background. Enjoy.
