This is your Daily 2% – Chilled and Ready to Serve. We will try to bring you one "chill" track every day. This is for when you get home and you are trying to unwind. You reach for that glass of wine or that unlit Black & Mild or maybe you reach for something more herbal. This track is for those times. We are just your milkmen and I'm here to make a delivery. Chill…
Today's delivery is brought to you by Cee-Lo. Everyone can call themselves a Cee-Lo fan in 2010 but are you familiar with old school Cee-Lo? I would suspect that most people "heard" of Cee-Lo back in the day but really didn't catch on until his Gnarls Barkley days. I'm sure I'm generalizing and a lot of people do you know his old work but for those who didn't; we have today's delivery. The track I'm bringing to you today is from his 2002 solo album, Cee-Lo Green and His Perfect Imperfections, which began to showcase his amazing lyrical talent. The track is called "Big Ole Words (Damn)" and I would say it's one of best lyrical tracks but always over looked. The beat remains chill while Cee-Lo murders it with complex metaphors that may take a few listens to completely comprehend. So in case you didn't already know; prepare yourself for a modern day street poet. Check out the track below…fuck you and chill…..
