Don't wanna see your tears baby it'll be okay, Mayer Hawthorne heartthrob will be rocking the Toronto Opera House on October 15th, he is currently 1/4 of the way through his North American tour starting in Florida and ending in LA.

If you don't know much about this Ann Harbor local stay tuned because Stones Throw Records really knows how to pick em, Mayer gathers most of his inspiration from heavy hitters like Smokey Robinson, Curtis Mayfield, and the legendary songwriting/producer trio of Lamont Dozier, Brian Holland, and Eddie Holland Jr.

Tagged as "retro" not even Head Stones Throw Monster, Peanut Butter Wolf could tell what he was hearing, sounding like re-edits these soulful spits are sure to turn a fancy from fans. "I think Mayer is the only artist in the history of the label that I've signed after hearing only two songs," says Peanut Butter Wolf. "Sometimes, you just know it's the right thing to do."

Hawthorne truly is the master of his craft, producing, singing and playing all the instruments himself aside from a few hired hands he is the essence of Modern Motown, not what you would expect looking at this 29 year old white boy from Michigan. So, that being said do what Peanut would do because sometimes you just know its the right thing to do, check out the show, jump on the tour before this guy blows up (if he hasn't already).

See you cats at the show
