LA based producer Bobby Nourmand takes us on a deep journey with his latest release entitled "Gimme Shelter," which pays homage to the Rolling Stones original single off their 1969 Let It Bleed album. It's quite impressive when an artist turns a complete rock jam into something that can be translated on the dance floor and that is exactly what Mr. Nourmand did here. There is almost an eerie quality to the re-imagined version as his bassline creeps below Mick Jagger's and Merry Clayton's vocals. Also the artwork is quite creepy as well, but hey it's all working as a full aesthetic package here. If you aren't familiar with the emotional story behind the original read more about how MIck Jagger tells it here via Open Culture.
It's a dark sky over NYC right now and this song seems to fit the ambiance perfectly. Give it a whirl and cop the free download.
