What could be better than one down and dirty house track to have in your arsenal of hits this weekend? How about having two? Thankfully, that’s what the UK duo My Digital Enemy is giving us: a set of top notch beats to party with. The Brighton based pair Serg and Kieron released Don’t Give Up on Zulu Records yesterday and "Self Inflicted" on the new Toolroom Ibiza compilation a little while ago, yet it still deserves some more love from us here at EARMILK.
Both tracks have their own distinct sound, while keeping in line with the electric energy that My Digital Enemy has been creating for over 10 years. “Self Inflicted” has a big deep bass & synth sound with a perfect blend of submerged, staccato vocal cuts and higher pitched angelic vocals that croon summer. “Don’t Give Up” which was premiered by Danny Howard, has a bit of 90’s groove, beginning with melodic piano chords to really set the tone. A strong drop worked in effortlessly leads to a mix of funky and gritty, affirmed by their signature the big bass, deep synths and staccato vocal samples. Both are available for purchase on Beatport. Hear them below.
Adding yet another notch to their belts, we've got an exclusive first look at the official video that is being released for the duo's recent release "Desire Life." While the track is both hot, cool, upbeat and deep at the same time, the video takes a look at letting loose through a cool shot lens.
