fwdslxsh, alt-J, Deadmau5; these are just three of the countless modern names in music. Two of them are references to keyboard language, while the other wasn't pronounced correctly by single fan until 2005. Yeah you know who you are, dead mouse #5.
Well today I have P A T H, another new approach to stardom labels, taking a recently more traveled path (in a good way). The 16 year old American producer is choosing to showcase his talent at an early age, which is always a sign of someone deeply in love for the art of music.
His edit of "With You" is just my taste: minimal instrumentation with phenomenal execution. It's a common thing to be producing downtempo, more laid back styles like that of another artist I follow, Sebastian Carter or Kaytranada in some projects. I'm always open to this kind of innovation within dance music, especially during a time where the majority of big name artists have little to no authenticity. Perhaps going by names like fwdslxsh and alt-J is the smarter move…
Take a listen to P A T H's edit of "With You" and be grateful for the free cop. Groove on, and go USA.
