Fresh off the Moda Black train, Scottish duo Mia Dora delivers a romantic and emotional jackin’ track fit with enchanting vocals courtesy of “Crusin’” by Smokey Robinson & The Miracles. “Clear” already won over the ears of BBC Radio 1’s Pete Tong, who named the track as his “Essential New Tune” a couple of weeks ago. It certainly holds up to the quality that one expects from Moda Black.
The Clear EP sees remixes by DJ T., a veteran of the club scene, and by Moda Black label heads Jaymo & Andy George. Both the original and remixes have amazing energy and vibes. DJ T.'s remix gives the track some tech house flair and strips away some of the emotion. He adds harder beats and jazzy hi hats creating the perfect balance between serious and sentiment. Jaymo & Andy George provide a club-ready remix with big bass, accenting synths, glitchy effects and shots of vocals. It has the most momentum out of the three tracks, but really anything off the Clear EP puts a jolt into the night.
