When your everyday CV work reads like a who’s who in the music industry, you know you must be doing something right. Well, that’s just a day in the life for international sound designer, music technologist, and composer, Laura Escudé aka Alluxe, whose background includes work alongside some of music’s biggest names including, Kanye West, Jay-Z, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Herbie Hancock, Cat Power, Bon Iver, Drake, Silversun Pickups, Garbage and Childish Gambino and we’re just getting started. If that wasn’t impressive enough the leading lady is a former award-winning concerto and symphony violinist who has the ability to completely step outside her roots when putting her producer pants on. Laura is known to create some of the most roaring, heady, and gritty electronic beats in the game.
Her debut EP entitled Nomad came out yesterday and it is a cool fusion of futuristic sounds, laced with a hip-hop-meets-bass-music vibe. In conjunction with the EP dropping we are honored to premiere Alluxe’s dark and gritty track "Rytmus". The production calls attention to her knack for deep, dark bass music complemented by her desire to bring music into ‘a different realm of futurism created by symphonic compositions for a post apocalyptic world.’ The haunting club track’s driving drums, pulsing bassline, and progressive blend of emotive melodies will have you hypnotized by a soundscape powerful enough to carry you to unexplored dimensions. The track is the ultimate game-changer effortlessly built for the 6 AM warehouse space.
We have also included a behind the scenes look at Alluxe's forthcoming video for "Rytmus" coming out in just a few weeks, so be sure to stay tuned. Also did we mention she's giving her latest remix for Mr. Hudson single "Fred Astaire" over on Soundcloud. Check out both tracks and the photos below.
