While the music you make is important, many times in the music industry, imagery can be what takes you over the top. Ever since MTV helped kill the radio star, music videos gradually became more vital, culminating in what we see today where a good music video can set you apart from the rest. Hailing form Los Angeles, rising star ERIEL INDIGO gets this perfectly, as she showcases her on screen talent in her brilliant new video for, “Basics For Breakfast.”

Produced by KEVN BLVK, the boom bap inspired production plays right into her strengths, as she slices through the track with a calculated ease. One of the more immediate standout qualities of the record is her cadences, as she pairs with the video to create an engaging experience. Directed by ERIEL INDIGO, the video starts follows ERIEL and her crew around various locations, as they do choreographed dances and infectiously sync with the accompanying music. Utilizing a few wardrobe changes, visually stimulating backgrounds and her obvious knack for being on camera, ERIEL spends the video highlighting her visual star power that is wonderfully complimented by her talent behind the mic.

Take a peek at the video above and get familiar with ERIEL INDIGO.
