John Berry original Beastie Boys member dies at age 52

John Berry, Beastie Boys' founding member and guitarist, has died at 52, according to a report by Rolling Stone. The band credits Berry with the coming up the name of the iconic hip-hop group, when the members were teenagers. Berry was present for the recording of the group's debut Polly Wog Stew EP in 1982 and left the group promptly afterwards. In the Rolling Stone report, John Berry's father said that his son suffered from dementia, which was the ultimate cause of death.
