In 2012, the prolific indie rock band Fleet Foxes disbanded when front man Robin Pecknold decided to pursue an undergraduate degree at Columbia University. The official announcement was that the band was on hiatus, but there had not been any signs that this supposed "hiatus" would ever end.
In a profile published by Distinct on Christian Wargo, guitarist of Fleet Foxes, says that he was with Robin Pecknold at a Joanna Newsom concert and they discussed a potential reunion. " 'It’s not, like, ‘announced’ or anything, and none of us really knew it was coming, but it’s happening,' said Christian. 'Possibly unofficially at this stage, but it’s definitely a thing.' "
While there hasn't been an official confirmation from the label or a publicized announcement by the artists, this is the most solid evidence supporting a reunion that Fleet Foxes have received since the 2012 hiatus began.
