LA legend 2Mexis back with “Lospital,” the first single off of his upcoming album that shares the same name. On “Lospital” we see 2Mex wrestling with the topic of love over a Ceschi Ramos produced beat.
Assisted by Sophia Pfister on the chorus, “Lospital” is a powerful track that shows 2Mex at his most vulnerable. “Have you ever been so in love that you just want to kill yourself,” he raps at the start of the track. Talk about raw emotions. As the track marches on, 2Mex spills more and more of his soul. It’s refreshing to hear somebody be so open about their hopes and fears, and the violin-heavy instrument pairs perfectly with the overall sentiment.
Lospital, the album, is slated to drop August 15th, which will be his first solo release in seven years. The Project Blowed affiliate is releasing it via Water the Plants label and will allegedly feature the likes of Slug (of Atmosphere), Eligh (of Living Legends) and more! Needless to say, it’s going to be dope.
Be sure to give “Lospital” a listen above and make sure you mark your calendars for the full album drop on August 15th.
