Night Rumours 32

night-rumourss.png3-1 (1)

Find them at basement nights and warehouse one-offs reaching from New York to Montreal and overseas Berlin, a collective of connoisseuring clubbers. The recent flood of clichéd counterfeits has left much of today’s dance music better left unheard, but it’s the rumours stuck in our head that tug at our ego and give us the need to shine light. A compulsive urge to spread from one ear to the next, to draw a line between bottle service cogs and the cutting edge of electronic music, music built to live in. There’s no room for Vegas roller coasters or casual chit chat, just Night Rumours worth spreading.

Night Rumours:

A Light in the Dark:

Since this week's Night Rumours are more laid back than usual we'll take things a bit darker here with the latest from KaterMukke Records. The Berlin based label released an EP recently from Betoko & THe WHite SHadow called "Solarium" that features 3 standout tracks including the title track with a deep, growling bass and arpeggiated synth lines.

Featured Mix:

In every local scene there are certain individuals striving to improve the dance music culture and introducing new and exciting artists to their audience. In Toronto, one said individual is Andrew Choe, half of the event curator specialists My Side Project. Not only is Andrew fast becoming a household DJ name with appearances at Sydney Blu's Movement Party next weekend, but his promotion company continues to deliver some unique bookings to the city including past shows like Sante, Borrowed Identity or Brawther. Today's mix for EARMILK features the likes of Daniel Lera, Piem, Nektar Agu, John Rise, and Kephee to name a few.
