EARMILK's 50 tracks for making (or breaking) love

We know that Valentine's Day can be a contentious holiday; there's the over-commercialization of love, the rampant commoditization of sex, that blatant disregard for more progressive modes of partnership, and on. But whatever your preference, and there's a million and one of them, it seems two things hold true: humans are programmed to make love and we all too often get broken in the process. When considering titles for this list we ran through a smorgasbord of them, everything from "Falling in dub" and "Married to the music" to "Planned parenthood" and "One deeper". Nonetheless, if you're here to make love or to break love, know that music will never turn its back on you. Its warm embrace will always be an instant click away, and you have the joy of clapping with it, not getting the clap from it. Without further ado…

Make Love

Sometimes it's sweet, sometimes it's ____ (you fill in the blank). However you do what you do, we're pretty sure  this playlist will last through it. If it doesn't, you may need to take a breather and start again from the top before it dips into some break love tracks.

Stream: The Notorious B.I.G. – Ultimate Rush (Feat. Missy Elliot)

Stream: Homeboy Sandman – Couple Bars

Break Love

Love is patient. Love is kind. But when it breaks, it's quite maligned. Most of of us know the sharp sting of a relationship gone sour, or even one that just stopped short of something really great. You'll find all of the emotions from that below: one part rage, one part sadness, and two parts the alcohol of your choice.

Stream: Martha Wainwright – Bloody Mother Fucking Asshole

Stream: Chris Lake, Emma Hewitt – Carry Me Away (Chris Lake Re-Edit)

Stream: Kaskade – Start Again (feat. Becky Jean Williams)

Stream: Kelly Clarkson – Since U Been Gone
