Over the past year, Montreal native Charlie Darker has released a string of remixes and original tracks that have garnered attention from dance greats and fans alike. Yesterday, via Dim Mak, he dropped a rather filthy remix of Clockwork’s “Surge” (ft. Wynter Gordon). Grittier and more bass-heavy than the original, Charlie Darker elevates Clockwork’s track, using it to emphasize his own delightfully grimy style. Wynter Gordon’s vocals still soar over the bass line to create a track that begs to played only at full volume. As always, the remix is available as a free download via Charlie Darker’s SoundCloud and Facebook page.
