The Indie Sabbath – Week 13

The Indie Sabbath

Being an indie fan means loving indie music too its core. Being an indie fan means name-dropping musicians in conversations and being met with the dreaded awkward stare. Being an indie fan means exposing yourself to the melting pot of up-and coming artists just waiting to be discovered.

I, Chris, the new Indie Sabbath, pledge to provide all of you indie fans with fresh, milky, brand spanking new indie music, as well as old favorites from behind the fridge, every week. I will be scouring the deepest corners of the Interwebs to bring you a weekly dose of music that, I truly hope, will be a new addition to your vast iTunes/Spotify collection.

Like you, I have a deep passion for indie music and nothing brings me more joy than to have the ability to share with you all my findings of the week. If you're just scrolling through the internet; waiting for your friends to pick you up for that huge party; or just setting the mood for some alone time with that significant other, let this list be your soundtrack to a much needed Saturday. Enjoy.

  • Most of this stuff is thin, and thoughtless music. The old indie sabbath was much better and previewed real music by talented musicians. If I wanted crappy techno, I would go to the house music article, not the indie section

    • i hate to say it, but i second Chuck. I'm disappointed that nearly all of this music is computer generated and lacking in quality and creativity.

    • I also concur. This music is pleasant to listen to, but not what I come to the Indie Sabbath for.

  • just so you know indie doesnt mean electronic. can we get some more organic music in here?

  • Good week chris, really enjoyed it. Indie can come in numerous sounds, it doesn't just need to be from a 8 people band that are all siblings and all play different string instruments. Sure we see alot of these type of bands but we can also see indie bands of 2 guys bent over soundboards and mpcs. Broaden your view of music and you'll broaden your life.
