KoRn and Skrillex – Get Up

Last week I heard a rumor about a collaboration between KoRn and Skrillex. I did not believe it, but it was true, and here we are, big beat and guitars !! It should be release in May but Spin premiered it:

"I heard a few of Skrillex's re-mixes and really felt there would be a good chance that he would have the right sensibility to connect us to a new hard sound and direction, but still keeping Korn guitars and our vibe," frontman Jonathan Davis tells SPIN. "We were just thinking of trying something new, to be honest, so I had my manager reach out to the Skrillex camp. When we got into the studio the connection was instant!"

  • I am so excited for the next 5 years of music to evolve if they include dubstep. I feel like it's potential to make massive changes to the industry is there. It' a matter of making it mainstream appealing and I think artists like Skrillex are nailing it right on the head!

  • i'm really liking the continuance of that "wall of sound" that Korn has been so famous for, and being able to explore it's outlet in a new avenue. I like it personally, and i think it should be allowed to be explored by the band.
