Daily 2% – Chilled and Ready to Serve [Bob James]

This is your Daily 2% – Chilled and Ready to Serve. We will try to bring you one "chill" track every day. This is for when you get home and you are trying to unwind. You reach for that glass of wine or that unlit Black & Mild or maybe you reach for something more herbal. This track is for those times. We are just your milkmen and I'm here to make a delivery. Chill…

Today's delivery is brought to you by Bob James. I'm not going to lie and say that I'm completely familiar with Bob James' complete catalog of music but the tune I'm bringing to you today I'm very familiar with. The track is called "Angela Theme" which was produced in 1978 and went on to become the opening title song for the hit show "Taxi". If you aren't familiar with the show; then you've probably heard the track sampled, at some point, for a instant classic hip-hop track or two. It's a classic down tempo jazz track that starts to get really groovy around the 3 minute mark. Expand your horizons and listen to some classic jazz. Check out the track and chill….

  • Thank you for the music. Do you often have a song and then an example of a song that samples it ? I like the idea ether way. Thanks again.

  • I'm curious where the Souls Of Mischief track came from. I check all the track listings on my CD's and the Heiro albums and if I didn't miss something this track didn't come from any of those. Did it come from some comp. from back in the day?
