Suicide Sundaes – stop your grinnin' and drop your linen. Every Sunday electblake of Earmilk will bring you the weeks dirty servings, and some old favorites through a throwdown-throwback to simpler times. A time when bangers were big, remixes were bigger, the bassline bled, and we didn't care about anything as long as came in kicking and left screaming. To hell with sketchy Sunday, we want to shove another dragon down the hole.
Week Fourty Five – wow. We're less then two months of a full years worth of Suicide Sundaes and the closer we get the more I keep on wondering what I want to do – to make it special. a SUPER mixset? The Best of Suicide Sundaes? A "Now and Then" look at the hundreds of artists we've featured and their successes? I'm not entirely sure but I want it to be to die for (ha ha ha) – If you have any ideas leave 'em below. BUT, until then, lets worry about filling your sets and eardrum.
If you've been following Suicide Sundae for awhile you'll know that some weeks are stronger then others. Ups and Downs in this crazy little thing we call dance but sometimes we have an especially strong bounty – this is one of those weeks.
This week I fully embraced Trashing Teenagers and some other up and coming digital rockstar fashions. We start it off with some nice and easy Daft Punk remixes (which introduces us to Bad Fashion) and then Realboy and Boemklatsch (by demand).
Mo Skrillex? No Problem – we got 2 tracks working at fulcrums to swing this whole mix into overdrive. GTRONIC remix The Bloody Beetroots? It was just an amount of time until these two names were married properly in one of the biggest tracks electro has known – warp.
Refusing to leave the more traditional electro house fiends in the back room I dropped in some Dumme Jungs – which is so fucking hot. Followed by a "Peanuts Club" remix, IllStM and a highlight of anynights set, the Retrohandz – Calvertron Remix or Diss Boyz.
p.s. some new LaTourette has got me droolin' – just a preview but it'll come to us eventually.
